The camel Trek is an ideal way to discover the desert and experience the local way of life. You can alternate with your guide walking for approximately a 2.5 hours trip during the morning before enjoying a long relaxing lunch.
Remember anyone in normal physical condition should be able to walk or ride a camel at its steady pace. It is principally having the capacity, for a few days, to give up one’s daily comforts, such as not being able to take a shower and having to sleep under the stars or in a tent. We find that one experiences so many new emotions and vibes which more than adequately compensate for the lack of such trivilalities.
The landscapes crossed during the trip allow you to fully discover and appreciate the incredible diversity and beauty of the desert : sometimes stone extents, then the presence of a small vegetation, or the sand dunes.
The meals during the trip are prepared on wood fire by our guides/camel drivers : this are complete and cooking menu, typical dish, simple and natural.
A special time : the sand bread
Your assistance is welcome, but not essential : all is done by your camel drivers. Option: to have dry and nutritive elements in reserve. The dromedary is not only a facilities, but also a companion. If you take care of him, he can be a very good company. Walk near the caravanning can be more relaxing than on the back of the dromedary.

Bivouac Saint Exupery, at the feet of the big dunes of Chgaga

This bivouac is located at
the feet of the large dunes of Chgaga, splendid site, spreading over
more than 40 km of dunes, a true sea of sand. Located at 62 km of
Mhamid (2 hours of track) and 12 km of the Crowned Oasis, the access
requires a vehicle 4x4. This bivouac comprises of nomadic tents, a restaurant and toilets. No showers.

During your stay in the desert, you will be in one of our bivouacs and the night sky is as clear as any you will see. We provide the mattresses, cloths and covers, but during the period from November to February, we recommend to you to take along your own sleeping bag, for extra warmth.
